WE WON!

On Thursday, March 30, 2000, a jury of four women and four men found unanimously in favor of Dr. Crangle. They reached their verdict in under six hours. 

The jury awarded the maximum amount allowed under federal law for punitive and compensatory damages, finding that Stanford University had acted with malice or a reckless disregard to Dr. Crangle's protected rights.

May, 2001: STANFORD SETTLES!

These pages are about the discrimination and retaliation Dr. Colleen Crangle experienced at the Stanford University School of Medicine and the battle she has waged against it. 

Her struggle began towards the end of 1996. Her case went to trial March 17, 2000. This is the first discrimination case against Stanford University ever to go to trial.

The Legal Advocacy Fund of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) awards Dr. Crangle $4,000 and then an additional $7,000 to fight the appeal.

Judge Ware awards in full the fees requested by Dr.Crangle's attorneys, Anne Weills and Dan Siegel.
